Account Deletion

Everything you need to know about closing your account and what happens to your data.

This action is permanent

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You will lose access to all messages, listings, and history on The Sports Locker.

What will be deleted

  • •Profile information — Your name, email address, and account preferences will be permanently removed.
  • •Listings — All active, sold, and traded items you have listed will be removed from the marketplace.
  • •Conversations — All messages you have sent or received, including chat threads and related notifications, will be deleted.
  • •Wishlist & alerts — Your saved search keywords, wishlist criteria, and match notifications will be deleted.
  • •Reviews — Reviews you have written will be removed. Reviews left about you as a seller will be anonymised so marketplace integrity is preserved for completed transactions.
  • •Blocked users — Your block list will be cleared.

What may be retained

  • •Reports & moderation records — Any reports you have filed or received will be retained in an anonymised form for security and compliance, but will no longer be linked to your identity.
  • •System logs — Technical logs may take up to 30 days to cycle out of our backups.

How to request deletion

  1. Contact us — Use the contact link below to request account deletion.
  2. Verify your identity — For your security, we will ask you to confirm your identity before proceeding.
  3. Processing — Once confirmed, most of your data is removed immediately. The process may take up to 30 days to fully complete across all systems and backups.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time under UK GDPR. If you have any concerns about how your data is handled, please contact us before requesting deletion.
